Fashion Blog!!!!
You thought I was going to say “boyfriend” didn’t you?
This is even better. For a boyfriend, I might get dressed up one night for a Valentine’s date but for my blog baby, I did THREE….that’s right THREE….St. Valentine inspired looks.
I don’t think you understand what a momentous occasion this is. Sure, I love holidays and dressing festively, but as a perpetually single person, Valentine’s Day has never been my favorite and so I’ve reserved my themed costumes for the likes of St. Patty, Independence Day and Halloween.
Not this year though!
Turns out, for a girl who pretends not to like all the mushy gushy hearts and flowers, I sure did have a lot Valentine appropriate clothing in my closet.
I’m a closeted romantic! 😉 (but shhhhh, don’t tell!)
Without further ado, here are my three Valentine’s inspired looks….
You may remember this maxi tee from a while back. It’s an old Ashley Stewart purchase paired with my Jessica Simpson leggings from Macy’s and my new thigh high boots from Kohl’s. The heart necklace was a wise purchase from many years ago when I was in Austin, Texas visiting my college roommate. But perhaps my favorite piece is the ring. This red ring started as an earring without a mate. My ingenious, jeweler of a father simply removed the post, added a band and turned it into one of my favorite rings. You’re the best, Randy!
I like to call this my Rocker Valentine’s Look. This shirt was a find from Ross Dress for Less many moons ago. I’ve actually worn it very little but always held onto it because I knew that one day it would be just what I needed. Turns out I was right! I could not have been more excited about how it paired with my sequined skirt from Ashley Stewart and Target heels. My heart-with-wings necklace and studded purse were the perfect finishing touch.
Lastly, I decided to pair my new Forever 21+ sweater with my Ashley Stewart dress and thigh highs. You’ve seen each of these pieces recently but not all together in one ensemble. I was pleased with the outcome, how about you?
Love and Confidence,
Amy
