Now that the turkey dust has settled, I can post about my holiday.
Except for one problem.
I have too much to be thankful for! What a problem to have, right?
Seriously though, I’ve been trying to compose this blog in my head for the last few days and there is just no way I can possibly list or explain all the goodness and grace in my life.
From my wonderful, loving and supportive family and friends to my warm, inviting home, my job, my health – I am blessed beyond measure and definitely beyond what I deserve.
So….since words fail me when it comes to those blessings, I’ll just talk about my Turkey Day outfit instead. It’s a poor substitute, but it’ll have to do.
The jeans and top you’ve seen on the blog before so what I really want to discuss is the scarf, booties and the clutch to reign supreme over all clutches.
The scarf and booties were a fortuitous find at Ross Dress for Less on my birthday. It was as if the shopping fairies knew that I had been looking for both a warm, plaid scarf and gray booties, size 11.
Then, for my birthday get together with my sisters, my sis-in-law Jamie presented me with this pièce de résistance.
The best part of the gift was the selflessness with which it was given. Jamie told me she had ordered it several months prior for herself and patiently waited for it to arrive. When she began searching for my gift, she had a nagging feeling that she wasn’t going to find anything that I would like as much as that purse. So sure enough, she gifted her new purse to yours truly!
Who does that?! A wonderful person who must really love you and who knows your love of fashion and accessories (because she shares that love with you). Be still my heart!
See, I told you I was blessed beyond measure!
