My Kind of Casual

I’ve seen this meme a few times and it always makes me laugh because I think, “someone gets me!”

It’s a well-known fact that I have a hard time doing casual. Especially that look I call “effortless casual.”

A) There is nothing effortless about the way I get ready.

B) Unless I actually don’t get ready…that is effortless.

So here is my solution to the casual conundrum:

Some people call this dressed up but for me, it’s the perfect blend of comfort and cuteness. Flat boots + drawstring, military green hoodie = my kind of casual.

You may recall that I purchased the jacket at Forever 21 in Atlanta. I paired it with my Labor Day haul blouse from Maurices and my favorite ripped jeans, boot cuffs and riding boots. Throw on some oversized feather earrngs and a braided headband and you have achieved my “I-tried-but-not-too-hard” look.

The best part about my kind of casual is that I feel confident and presentable while still being very comfortable and laid-back. And achieving that balance always makes me smile!

  1. You are too cute ❤ Love the headband. I wish I could do headbands but my head is small and they hardly every stay on, or they just pop off. Grrr, jealous you can keep yours on 😉
