A Travel Diary for Dreamers

Friday, 8.7.15 @ 6:26 a.m.

It’s too early to have many thoughts  yet

Midland’s airport coffee SUCKS. That is all for now.

Friday, 8.7.15 @ 9:13 a.m.

Fueled by a couple of airport cocktails (yes, I’m fully aware of what time it is), I am ready to get to my destination and begin exploring. As excited as I am for the TCF Style Expo, I am equally as excited to explore this new city. In all of my travels, I’ve never been outside of the Atlanta airport. This should be fun…

Friday, 8.7.15 @ 3:38 p.m.

Made it to the hotel and taking a breather for a sec. What is it about traveling that wears you out? Not sure what we’ll get into tonight but imma look fabulous regardless because I brought the infamous jumpsuit.

Hmmmm….now that I think about it, I’m craving Italian. (for reference, see here.)

Saturday, 8.8.15 @ 11:24 a.m.

Last night was fun (the quirky dinner spot, colorful martinis and drag queen karaoke kind of fun) but now it’s time to focus on the real reason for this trip. The TCF Style Expo starts at noon. I’m wearing sassy, leopard pants, a blue, strapless peplum with matching heels and feeling confident and ready to mingle!

Saturday, 8.8.15 @ 5:46 p.m.

Who knew networking (and a little shopping) could be so exhausting?! I have so much info and so many ideas swirling around in my brain. I can’t wait to sort it all out and turn it into a few blogs and videos.

Sunday, 8.9.15 @ 3:05 p.m.

I’ve hit the mother load. The bottom floor of the Macy’s at Lennox Square in Atlanta is plus-sized paradise! I feel a Macy’s Haul blog coming on…

Sunday, 8.9.15 @11:04 p.m.

After an incredible walk through the botanical gardens and Piedmont Park, we are eating pizza near the hotel. I’m ready for a good night’s sleep and the trip home tomorrow. I still have so many ideas to work through and put into place. I don’t know much right now but I know big things are coming.

Monday, 8.10.15 @ 12:05 p.m.

Sitting in the airport thinking about all I want to implement in my life and getting a little overwhelmed. I’m reminded of an old, strange-but-true saying. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. It’s a weird but good reminder for me to keep putting one foot in front of the other as I continue this exciting journey. I can do this.

Monday, 8.10.15 @ 8:39 p.m.

About to get my sleep on but laying here thinking about a wonderful ending to a wonderful weekend. I flew from Houston to Midland with my sister-in-law, Jamie, as we discussed our dreams and pursuing what we know  we were made to do. To all the dreamers and creative souls out there….don’t listen to the naysayers, keep that vision in front of you, work hard for what you love and one day, those dreams will become reality.
